Cancel Semantic Model Update

Current configuration of the Cancel Semantic Model Update task in the Workflow Designer

The Cancel Semantic Model Update task requires interrupting a pending or in-progress update.

Configuration​

Semantic ModelThe model to which the update belongs.
Update IDIdentifier returned by the start task.
Accept Already Completed UpdateTreats the request as valid even if execution has already succeeded, failed, or been cancelled.

The request is applied at a safe point. The operation may therefore not be instantaneous; use Monitor Update to read the next state.

Results​

The task returns:

  • previous state;
  • current state;
  • indication that cancellation has been requested;
  • any diagnostic message.

An incomplete generation does not replace currently published data. If Accept Already Completed Update is disabled, indicating an already completed run produces an error.

Permissions​

The user executing the workflow must be able to modify the model and view the indicated update. The task also verifies that the execution truly belongs to the selected model.
